Louisville

Two refugee resettlement agencies are located in Louisville: Catholic Charities-Migration and Refugee Services and Kentucky Refugee Ministries. Kentucky Office for Refugees (KOR), the federally designated State Refugee Coordinator’s Office and a department of Catholic Charities of Louisville, is also located in Louisville. Refugees have been resettled in Louisville since 1975.

In FY2017, 948 refugees were resettled in Louisville. The original projection was 1,380 refugees. In FY2018, Louisville has been approved to resettle up to 693 refugees and 99 SIVs between both resettlement agencies.
